In March 2021, Vignesh Sundaresan, a Singapore based entrepreneur bought ‘The First 5000 Days’ for $69 million.
‘The First 5000 Days’ is a digital art, and it is the world’s costliest NFT at present.
It may be puzzling, why would someone pay $69 million for a digital art.
But, for many, it is even more puzzling: what is NFT?
Non-Fungible Tokens, often called as NFT, is a blockchain technology that makes any digital work unique.
After the Global Financial Crisis, the distrust in the financial system among a few people gave birth to the blockchain technology & cryptocurrency. Then, what was considered as some techies playing with codes grabbed a lot of attention in the recent years.
As a common man, it is already hard enough to understand how the blockchain and cryptocurrency works. It is still not clear how reliable cryptocurrencies are, as an investment option.
And before the world could catchup, NFTs are creating a buzz all around the world.
Could this be an investment option?
Should you, even remotely, look for a potential investment opportunity here?
What really is an NFT? Who can invest in this all digital asset?
In a webinar hosted by Holistic Investment Planners, our esteemed speaker explains it brilliantly.
